Nice idea, Beryl. All my connection to the North-West centres on Birchip 1890 to 1910. Names are McDONALD, WILKINSON, & MATTHEWS. Hello Peter, Please forgive me if I have asked you this previously, but do you, by any chance, have an Annie and Hector MacDonald / McDonald among your's? Kindest Regards ...... Corinne. > Names are McDONALD, WILKINSON, & MATTHEWS. > > Cheers, > > Peter Ross > Yackandandah, Vic.
Hi again Corinne, The only POSSIBLE connection that I know of (recently come to light thanks to SAGEN & North West Vic people) is as follows:- Anne MACDONALD Date: 1863- 01-06 Father: John MACDONALD Mother: Mary MACDONALD Birth Place/ Residence: Nr Woodside Dist Code: Nai (is that Nairne, or Nailsworth?) Book: 28 Page: 103 Haven't a Hector, sorry. Anne's family are the MACDONALDs I'm hoping to find a grave for in Woodside, or thereabouts. Should there be a chance of a connection, let's know... we'll combine forces! Hello Friends, Can anyone please tell me what has happened to the VicGold database that seems to have been withdrawn and sadly does not seem to have reappeared? Kindest Regards ...... Corinne.
Hello Friends, To take up Beryl's excellent idea: My town is ECHUCA ...... where my THOMPSONs settled in the late 1860s, and near where my MADDERNs selected land at MILLEWA about 1870. John and Miriam (nee Eldridge) Thompson had "The Temperance Hotel" ...... and their eldest son, John, was a Mate on a paddle steamer when he was killed ...... and their next son, William, was a paddle steamer Captain. A daughter, Barbara Weymouth, had the "Coffee Palace". Kindest Regards ...... Corinne. > Hi All > > I've had a few comments about how quiet the List is of late.
