Friday January 19, 1906 Mr Wm. PENNY, of Salt Lakes, contracted Tetanus in a simple way. He was harvesting on the recent scorching Saturday, and lay down in the shade, his head resting on the edge of an iron trough. He fell asleep. On waking, he had a stiff neck, and to relive it poured water from his bag on it. He become worse, and though in great pain, did not consult Dr POTTS for nearly a week. The Dr found that he was dangerously ill with lock jaw, and though he has rallied somewhat, he will not be out of danger for over a month.
