Friday, January 26,1906 Natimuk Court Of Petty Sessions. At this court yesterday before Captain BURROWS P.M. Ernest and Harry HALLAM were charged with careless use of fire at Connangorach, on December 19, where 20 acres of grass on Mr John RUSSELL'S property, was destroyed. Constable TATE who prosecuted, said the boys admitted lighting the fire, which the elder boy said was caused while explaining to his brother the danger of the careless use of matches. Four fires were lit along the road. Capt. BURROWS, after explaining to the boys the seriousness of the offence, and exacting a promise that they would not light any more fires, discharged them. Fred ROGERS, who had conscientious objections was fined £ 2 for failing to have his child vaccinated.
