Before the building of the ROCKLANDS DAM near Balmoral there was a spot on the Glenelg called HOLMES WATERHOLE or WATERHOLES. I believe this to mark the spot where the HOLMES family lived when my G grandfather was a boundary rider for Alexander Turnbull on the Rocklands Estate. If there was anyone who had a map showing that spot or who knows where that spot was you'll be my friend forever. Maybe you even have an elderly relative in that area that you could ask?
