Hotspur is a small rural settlement in south-west Victoria between Heywood and Digby and located on the Crawford or Smoky River. Like many settlements it has a WW1 Avenue of Honour. Hotspur's Avenue contains 40 trees dedicated to memory of local servicemen from WW1. The Avenue has been restored and there will be a plaque unveiling ceremony at Hotspur, 2:00pm, Saturday 23rd June 2001.
