Hi all, I am researching the Elias and Margaret BATESON family who selected land at Miram Piram in the Shire Of Kaniva/Yanipy in 1880's onwards. Other associated families include - H. SCHMIDT, RIDEOUT, D. HARRISON, WATERS, GOULD, SMART, COUTTS, and also LACKMANN of Kaniva. Does anyone have any information about the early families in Miram Piram and local district - i.e local background history and life experiences of people who shared experiences of my BATESON family 1880 to 1927.
