A warrant has been issued at Morse's Creek Ovens, against a bullock-driver, name unknown for taking away Thomas Cox from the custody of his father James, about the 7th March. The offender is only described as driving a 4 wheeled bullock waggon with a name (supposed George Murray) painted thereon. Thomas Cox is aged 9, short and stout, fair hair and complexion, ligth colored eyes, prominent forehead, and light purple birthmark on one shoulder On the above date he was seen camped with bullock-drivers on the Beechworth Road - 6th June1870 Morse's - now Bright.
