Whereas on the night of Saturday the 23 of April last, a party of Europeans, 8 in number, attacked the Chinese encampment at Mosse's Creek Ovens River Buckland in which about 16 Chinamen resided, and burned down the tents and beat several of the Chinese: And whereas one of the said Chinese, named Ah Sang, died on the following morning from the effects of the blows inflicted, Notice is hereby given that a reward of £50 will be paid for such information as will lead to the apprehension and conviction of each of the persons implicated in the murder above described. His Excellency the Governor will also extend Her Majesty's free pardon to any person implicated in such murder who will give the required information, provided such person was not the actual murderer.
