    3. And it's not only you 2 who have it. Both my brain and my fingers are fuddled! Denise - I have several print outs with Beechworth Carnival notes in them, but missed the best one with the names of the ball. Am going back in tomorrow (have to) so will also try to retrieve that. Lots of ads featuring the Carnival in their promos, I've printed off 1 front page with ads. Came across one para that photographs were taken for (in italics) 'The Sketcher'. I have not heard of this before, don't know if it's a journal or what. Can you help? No photographs in either the O&M Advertiser, the Leader, or the Herald - just a mention, however I think the write ups will come later in the week. Am too tired now to read much, but will shortly send you a list of names etc, and then put the pages into the snail mail. Some copy not so hot. Why won't they put toner into their printers? Just be patient....and drink lots of hot lemon and honey, with something hot and spicy added to it and I can't remember what it was. Invent something! 1. [AVNE] "The Sketcher"
    2. Noeleen LLoyd
    3. Nandina, 'The Sketcher' would most likely refer to "The Australasian Sketcher, with pen and pencil". Large format, monthly newspaper that was noted for its detailed art work. Published 1873-1879. The writer Thomas Carrington wrote for "The Sketcher". State library hold copies. There were also two volumes of reproductions done in around 1970. One had the years 1873 (not sure to when) and the other had 1880 - all the Kelly reports. The art work is fantastic. 3. Thank you, Noelene. I knew there was a reason when I opened my eyes this morning that I decided to put off returning to the SLV today - will go either tomorrow, or Friday. Now there is an even more exciting task for me. With a bit of luck, Denise will be even more excited.
