    3. George Boswell is charged, on warrant, wit attempting to stab George Strain at Tarrawingee Ovens on the 22nd instant. He is a Victorian native, a laborer, aged about 20 5'6" high, dark hair, sallow complexion, dark beard just showing, thin build, small nose; wore dark Crimean shirt, moleskin trousers, and dark hat with white puggree. He is supposed to have gone to STanley orBeechworth P2 Jan 4 1870 -- The rate for transmission of a telegraphic message not exceeding 10 words within the colony of Victoria, has now been reduced to 1/- and for every additional word 1d.
