Denise - I have an elusive rellie - Annie Mather - any links here, do you think? Also, my grandfather was a Wheelmen's Outfitter at around that time - perhaps a little earlier - possible that some of his designs were worn on that auspicious bicycle race. Just thought you should know. I have heard from Joan Hilderbrand - she has taken the photo of the monument for me, so all is OK. Have a truly great trip. I shall be with you all in spirit.
