    3. Thanks for your interest in the thread. I haven't a clue on what Martha Crawford or Mary Conway would be involved in. Martha definintely would have been occupied by some other interests than Hiram!!!! and I suspect something to do with music/helping others/church etc etc - as would her daughter Susan. I hope to follow up some of the ideas when in Beechworth. Obits for Mary and Martha both indicate they were well known in the area.
