Hi Nandina, I have a line of Gemmills in my tree also. They hailed from Ayreshire , Scotland , and settled mainly in the Mooroopna, Kyabram area. Hi Heather - I am printing out the twig in which my GEMMIL appears - have another mug of coffee and it will be done.........OK - these will not be in any logical order - gotta go to a Docor's app't in a few minutes. I have a Christina SPEARS/SPIERS who married John GEMMIL in 1878 #4734. I also have a Christina Isabel GEMMILL, and Spiers Frank - parents of Ivy SPIERS who died in Kyabram 1920 #15062 . Christina died in Kyabram, in 1965, aged 65. (This is the one that links to my family I think). I will look for more info for you - so far no items re GEMMILL birth place - they only appear where they married into the forebears of wives of the ORR people. Cheers, Nandina ----- Original Message ----- From: Brian Kelly <bhkelly@netc.net.au> To: <AUS-VIC-NE-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Thursday, February 14, 2002 9:56 PM Subject: Re: [AVNE] Women in the 1800's > Hi Nandina, > I have a line of Gemmills in my tree also. > They hailed from Ayreshire , Scotland , and settled mainly in the > Mooroopna, Kyabram area. > Heather Kelly > > nandina morris wrote: > > >Denise - Isn't it sad?
