Could this be a circus ??? A HOLIDAY TOUR - A pleasant trip has just been undertaken in company by Messrs Grieve and Allen, head teachers of the State schools of Allan Flat and Osbournes Flat. The intention of the tourists is to coach where permissible and to take pedestrian exercise where coaching is out of the question. The proposed line of route is to Omeo via Bright and Harrietville, thence to Eskdale and the Mitta Mitta and so homewards. The idea of Messrs Allen and Grieve is not to hurriedly pass through, but to linger according to fancy at each place to enjoy the scenery, and the change from "the daily round, the ceaseless toil" of school work to which they must only too speedily return.
