I haven't been able to unearth what happened exactly to C and Co = final days were in 1933 according to a paper report - but it was either sold off in franchise type operations, or more likely became a public company at some point in the lat 1880's. I love to get snippets ike this. Wonder why the horse was so well known. ONly last week I found out a bit more abut the horses they use (on the high right anyway), the breed or something, but doubt if I could unearth more. May try when I return. see you soon!
