Thanks Joy for your message. I'm afraid I only have the surname McNamara of Shepparton and the date of around the 1880's. This particular family took in my husband's grandfather WILLIAM EDWARD CLARKE as a youngster after the death of his sister, Alice Clarke in Avenel in 1877. His parents, Thomas and Maria Clarke may have separated it is not known. He also had a brother, Henry Wilkinson Clarke who may have been with the McNamaras as well, as the boys were born 1864 and 1863 in Heathcote. After years of searching we have never found the whereabouts of the parents. It's a wild goose chase really, but I've just got to try and piece it together if I can.
