Dear Denise, Thanks for the info on the McLuckies. At a quick glance , I don't think these three are in my direct line. James and Robert were brothers. Re James Moncrieff. He was born 1831 at Walls, Shetland Isles.Sct. He died 1898 at Scrubby Creek in the Mitta Mitta area. His father was John and his mother was Margt. Sinclair. There are two marriages listed to a Jas. Moncrieff ,likely to be the one we are looking for I think it could be the same person marrying twice Jas married Eliza Lawley 1865 Vic. Jas married Ellen Kennedy 1876 Vic. At a quick glance didn't find any children to Jas., but his brother Alexander had quite a few in the Mitta area.
