1. If anyone is tracing James Henry Kneebone of Bowmans Forest I have PART of his Obit from the Ovens and Murray Advertiser in June 1907. Happy to scan. sorry it is only part (but a large part) but it was not what I was copying and just happen to be on the page. 2. Sale of Whitfield HOtel - The sale has been effect during the past few days of the new Muntain View Hotel at Whitfield woned by Mr. H. Tyrell. Mr. T. E. Foran, of Ballarat, was the purchaser and the negotiations were conducted through Messrs. Philipson Newman and Co. 3. Piano and Organ Tuning - Mr. Robinson snr assited by Henry Robinson now resident at the Hibernian Hotel, Beechworth, cautions those requiring his services against employing anyone of the same name, as being neither authorised or competent to carry out his system of work. 4. Grave Robbbers. Nothing seems too mean or comtemptible for some people to accomplish - even to the stealing of choice flowers placed by loving hands on the graves of departed friends. A mean thief of this character has been again at work in the Beechworth Cemetery. Last Friday or Saturday a choice daphne, planted on a grave in the C of E divison of the cemetery was roughly divested of some of its blooms. The thief, in a hurry of stealing the blooms, dropped a rosette on the grave baring the Beechworth colors - red and black. Let us hope that such mean thieves will soon be identified and receive the punishment their dastardly conduct so justly merits. === BOY, what would they write if something worse than flower pinching happened. These are from O and M the week following 7th June 1907.
