    3. From ON this Day in the N/E G Jones January 28th 1915 At 5 am the old and not-long-delicensed Royal Oak Hotel at Carraragarmungee caught alight and was destroyed. Mrs. Mull who had the license for over 30 years still lived in the building. A lamp she kept burning in her room overnight exploded. 13th March 1976 A chance for ex pupils of the little Carraragarmungee School to get together with old Byawatha-ites for two days of celebrations. more than 500 ex pupils ex teachers and families turned up the oldest ex student being Mrs. Rose Bullied, 92, of Wang. 5th Oct. 1906 A Carraragarmungee pioneer of long standing, Richard Sammon, died on this day 1906.
