Hi Listers Firstly, apologies for the cross-posting, but this family moved around the areas of both these lists. What I am after, possibly from any Family HIstory Societies, is a small book which I have been told about concerning the SIMS family in these areas, called ' The Sims Family'. This family was father, Richard SIMS b 1828 Hanley Staffs ENG, mother Bridget LONG b 1830/33 Co Cork IRL, m 1855 Bothwell TAS and children Alice, Elizabeth, Richard all b TAS. and William b Sale VIC, Gerome (Jeremiah) b Omeo, and John b Omeo. If anyone has this little book or knows where I might get one, please let me know. I know this man arrived in Tassie as a convict and finished up a respected, reasonably well-off man in Omeo but cannot find one word about him. That isn't quite true. In 'Echoes from the Mountains' it is mentioned that he held one of the first hotel licences in the Omeo area. Regards and many thanks to all Irene R
