    3. Thank you Dave. Of course this could have been just a family story. GLOVER and his inlaws, WILDRIDGE, were based around Ballarat before going to New Zealand and I am not certain how far away the Ovens field was. He is supposed to have walked from Sydney and my first information on him is his marriage to my GG grandmother in 1861. He could well have spent time on the Ovens field prior to going to Ballarat.
