Hi Andrew, Thank you so much for this. It's just a tad difficult to take the pics myself when I'm up here in Queensland. One day I plan to make another trip down that way. A great great uncle of mine William MAson FINN wrote a book on travelling around NEastern Victoria. IN it he references John FINN as a the mayor of Kilmore owning a "first class mill" on the river. Does anyone have any details about John FINN and the possibility that the two are related. WM FINN was one of the first priests ordained in Victoria and brother to Edmund FINN aka GArryowen, my grgrgrfather, who wrote the Chronicles of Early Melbourne cheers Jon Patrick ---------------------------------------------------------------- This message was sent using IMP, the Internet Messaging Program.
Hi all, Does anyone on the list know if a transcription has been done of the Bethanga Cemetery? If it hasn't, I am keen to dip my toe into the water and do it myself. Most of my research involves Canada, USA or Scotland and I have got invaluable data from people who have done transcriptions from over there that helped me out, so I thought I'd give a bit back and do some cemeteries in the local area (NE Vic/Sth NSW). I've got spare time, a PDA, a digital camera and space on my website. I'm rearing to go I just need to be pointed in the right direction! I figure Bethanga Cem. is relatively small and it'd be a good intro. After that, I'd do some others around here - anyone have any requests..? Andrew McPhee
