    3. I have a story written by Ivy Elmer in 1980 re her life in Murmungee and Beechwoth late 1800's early 1900's Our scanner has crashed so will scan it was soon as I can. She mentions Jones, Elmer, Ellen, Kneebone, Vicar Mr Taylor and life at Murmungee school etc. She also mentions my great Auntie Frances Jones burning down the house! Ivy then talks about her life as a nurse and owner/matron of a few hospitals in Victoria She talks about the working mens college (now RMIT) , Victoria coffee palace, Uxbridge house, Clifton Hill, South Yarra, Winfield nursing home, her nursing days at Eye and Ear hospital, Homeopathic (Now Prince Henrys), Clevedon mansions (Now Hilton Hotel), Jyn Jyn cafe, Exhibition building used as a hospital during an epedimic, Nurse Long, Dr Hendricson, Dr Killmier, Thornbury Hospital, St Aidans (which Ivy Elmer ran), She did nursing from 1913 to 1968. I am not sure the date Ivy died but after 1980 (Would appreciate a look up for her death date parents Samuel Elmer and Frances Jones) Regards Kathryn
