Hi everyone Wondering if anyone has a death which occurred in Buckland in 1854 and would let me know the registration number please. I have 5 deaths in 1854 and the registration numbers are all within 20 numbers. Without having buying 5 certificates to find their death places, I wondered if it would be at all possible to tell by perhaps another death you may know about. Worth a try, regards Denise

Denise, there are no deaths recorded for Buckland before 1881 in the Pioneers Index so it was probably known by some other name before then. Looked at Porepunkah (2 in 1888) and Ovens as Porepunkah was originally known as Ovens Crossing (1 also in 1888).
