Hi Roz, The 1865 inquest I'm referring to is an inquest into the death of Ellen ELLIS who died in November, 1865 at Bald Hills, Balmattum. Thank you for your input re the Turnbull's - am not sure if there is a link at this stage but will keep your e-mail address. Hope the move went well. George's father Thomas TURNBULL owned the Broken Creek Run (1855), Emu Plains Run (1855), Mokoan Run (1866) and Upotipotpon Run (1855), which George and his brothers took over in 1873. I am not sure if I have any information in my files as to George's place of residence in 1863-1866, and unfortunately the family history is packed ready for our move at the end of the week. I will gladly have a look after I unpack, and will keep you posted of any findings. I would be interested to learn a little more about the Inquest.
