Hi Anne and any others interested. From Victorian Squatters by Spreadborough and Anderson. Honeysuckle Creek first licenced to Mitchell Forbes Scobie either Oct 1847 or Oct 1846 (ie first licences in NSW). Area 64,000 acres. Nov 1861 sub into Honeysuckle North and Honeysuckle South. Last licence for Honeysuckle North 1877 to Willilam Denning Crocker of Violet Town. area 32,300 in 1869. Honeysuckle South last licence to Oriental Bank Corp in 1880. You cannot pick a selection date from this - you would need to look at the parish maps and pick the earliest freehold dates, and from them look at the files to work out where selection started first, unless someone more on the ground up there happens to know. Depending on which act selection happened under would depend on if it was selection before or after survey. In the areas elsewhere that I have looked at, usually some parts of the run still existed while selection was happening on the run, and I see no reason to think this area would be different. Certainly licences were still being issued well after the Land Act of 1869, which would have seen selection on the run, although it possibly occurred in the best bits earlier.
