Hi Kaye, That's great news for me, this is my family, William's brother was James Galt ORR. So it would appear my William, MLA and former Mayor of Wangaratta, went to Broken Hill? Then he must have come back to Melbourne, he died in 1919 at Armadale. The two stories in folk lore are that the ORR's were racing people in Vic., and also had a hand in setting up Mt. Isa Mines, in Qld. I'm getting closer to the racing, hunting a connection with Charles F.ORR. and now perhaps the mining connections, William might have got involved in that.
