I am researching the Duncan/ Pritchard/Driscoll families of Beechworth and was wondering if there is anyone else researching any of these families. In particular the Duncan family. In amongst my grandparents photos there are a great deal of unidentified photos of which I have had copied. I was wondering if there is anyone out there that may be able to put a name to some of these. Some of the Duncan christian names are John, William and Hector. Hi Lesley I have a JAmes DUNCAN married to MAry Ann REIDY(1825-1885) with children James (1845-1895) and Henry (1854-1854). Hi Lesley - I've been trying to find an Alex Duncan - believed to be an Engineer at the Asylum, who was later at the Yarra Bend Asylum. Have found a David Duncan - Engineer by searching children at the Primary School (I'll have to check the dates) - maybe some connection. My Grand Mother was born in B'worth 1879 and we believe went to Melb. to live with her Uncle after her mother died - Alex Duncan - but we have no details / timing My G.G. Mother was Minnie Hennessey b1849 Cork, Ireland d1886 B'worth - She came out in 1852 or thereabouts - so looking for some connection between Duncan and Hennessey.
