Hello to the North East list. I know there are a number of people on the list who have connections to Joseph Augustus Pleming and Julia Hannah Robins. For as long as I can remember information given information has been given that this couple married at St Austell Cornwall on the 17th September 1844 with their children born after this date. Just recently I was contacted by a member of the family who again quoted this information. I decided to have a look at the records and make sure the information was correct and found that it was in fact wrong. Joseph Pleming and his wife Julia Hannah Pleming were married at the time of the 1841 census (folio 125 page 28) and their 4 eldest children are all living at the time. The eldest should not have been born according to previous information until 1847. All of the incorrect information has been submitted to the IGI so any one looking for this family will instantly record the incorrect data. The other interesting fact is that a birth date of 1819 is given for Joseph Augustus Pleming this information would most likely be incorrect going on the ages of the children (making him 15 when his eldest child was born) This makes me question was Joseph Augustus the son of John Pleming and Mary Dalley and all other previous generations. I will be now trying to put a true family tree together for Joseph and Julia Pleming. I would also suggest to anyone using the LDS IGI to double check the information. Regards Judy
