Dear Peter, Yes, sorry my email was badly expressed. The Darling River is, as I understand it, officially, and actually, the longest river in Australia. Murray is number two, and the Murrumbidgee is number three. In Victoria, the Goulburn River is the longest (I hail from Shepparton originally, so I like to remind people of this!) The Murray, although it begins in Victoria, and ends in South Australia, flows mainly in New South Wales. And, they all need more water!! Regards, Shane. Shane L.J.
