I endorse all the positive comments about FTM, I belong to a family history group where everyone uses FTM with no complaints Jan -----Original Message----- From: aus-vic-ne-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:aus-vic-ne-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Peter Robinson Sent: Wednesday, 24 January 2007 4:00 PM To: aus-vic-ne@rootsweb.com Subject: [AVNE] Computer Program I, too, use FTM and have kept up to date with every release since version 4 - about 12(?) years ago. It does everything I could possibly want for and, contrary to an earlier posting, have found value in each set of modifications with the updates. The current release- in single disc version - costs around $66. There is a multi disc version but the extras are of little value unless you have extensive U.S. connections. It costs an extra $30 (or thereabouts) for those extra discs. I am not a fan of the second hand route as there is little comeback if the disc/s is/are faulty and you also lose the opportunity to register with the mob who puts them out. the older of the tworobbos at Bairnsdale, gateway to East Gippsland ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-VIC-NE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message -- No virus found in this incoming message.
