Hi, I have an Ellen Catherine Jackson born 1896 at Pipe Clay Lead, Shire of Rutherglen and her mother, Brita Jackson (nee Johanson, born Finland) who died in 1904 at Garibaldi Hill, Shire of Rutherglen. Does anyone know the location of Pipe Clay Lead and Garibaldi Hill? From what I can tell they're to do with gold mining? According to my mother, Ellen told her that her father, William John Jackson (born Lancashire, England) worked for the railways and the family lived in a railway tent. Were railway tents likely to be found at these locations? Thanks very much for any help you can give me. Regards Olwen
