Does the following help? >From Memories of Oxley - Graham Jones "After Milawa, the road made its way across the plains until it reached the community around Tea Garden Creek. Travellers proceeding to Beechworth via the Pioneer Crossing would find the Pioneer Hotel, conducted by an Englishman, John Moon; while traffic heading for Whorouly, via Henley's Gap, were greeted by the Whorouly Hotel, owned by Michael Dodd." We do know that a history of Markwood book was released some time last year but cannot recall the name/s of the author/s. Perhaps someone else in the group knows more as the book could be of help to you. I will keep it in mind as I continue my own research and if I find anything I will let you know. regards Dianne ------------------------------- To unsubscribe from the list, please send an email to AUS-VIC-NE-request@rootsweb.com with the word 'unsubscribe' without the quotes in the subject and the body of the message
