Hi Ian, Sorry for the delay in getting back to you. At this stage I can't answer your question. I've looked at the appropriate October 1863 O & M Advertiser newspapers as she was meant to be tried at Beechworth in a Circuit Court sitting but there was nothing in the newspaper. Am about to get hold of a copy of the Criminal Trial Brief Register for that particular sitting - it should tell me if the trial went ahead and what the result was.
