Dear Grenville, Thank you very much for checking the local phone books for me. I'm sorry not to have gotten back to you sooner. I called one of the BONAT in Oaklands, who was able to tell me that all of the other people are related to her, and all of them are descended from an Italian man, Arturo Bonat, who was born in 1899 and immigrated to Australia in 1924. So it is much too late for us and clearly not the right BONAT, unfortunately. Are there other BONAT nearby in the area, perhaps on the Victoria side? Thank you again.
