    3. Hi Ian, Only one Post office named Buckland has ever existed in Victoria. 19km WSW of Bright. Opened there on 1.4.1856 and closed on 21.2.1923. How can both these towns be seen as the main regional cent for Buckland when it is so far away and many valleys in between. Was there another Buckland in the 1860s or is the current Buckland (not far from Mt Buffalo) the only area of that name that has ever existed? My Great great Grandfather was a baker at Buckland.
