Benalla 8th may 1937 The Sun Herbert Gordon Frazer 9 son of mr and Mrs A Frazer of McKellar St Benalla was riding his bicycle along the stock route to attend mass at St Joseph's Church shortly after 7 am today and when he was approaching the bridge the cycle struck the kerbing. The boy fell into the river with the bicycle. Mrs Fallon who lives nearby saw the accident and notified Mr jack Ackerley. He located the boys body in about 8 ft of water. Dr harrington was summoned and resusitation methods by him and First Constables Hurley and Roberts were carried out for two and a half hours after which he was pronounced extinct. It is thought the boy was stunned by the handle of the bicycle. Euroa 20th Nov 1939 The Argus Mr Charles Sibbald of Lorne Rd East Prahran and his wife suffered severe injuries this afternoon when the motor car in which they were travelling to Euroa crashed into a culvert on the Hume Highway 16 miles on the melbourne side of Euroa.
