Good Afternoon All, I was at the Burke Museum today looking at the Argus Newspaper - In the 5 Oct 1863 edition on Page 7 there was an article which stated that Christina BELL had been arrested at Jamieson by a Sergeant BABER for the attempted murder of Albert KOSCHITZKY in September 1863. Albert was the proprietor of German's Hotel at Jamieson. It seems that Christina worked as a barmaid at the German's Hotel and had a rather passionate attachment to Albert. She stabbed him with a rather large carving knife but he survived. Am still trying to ascertain what happened at the subsequent court case in Beechworth but have had no success so far.
