    3. Hi List, Can anyone assist with the above location. It was located at Manaroo, which I think is a derivation of Monaro. John Alcock was baptised there in 1845 Cheers Hec Alcock see the Alcock family history at http://home.iprimus.com.au/heca/

    3. Hec, I'm feeling particularly stupid because I'm looking at the Vic Gazetteer cd and so far, no luck with Manaroo, Monaro or Midling Bank. Sorry. 3. Hi Hec, Probably fairly useless information, there are two courts in Wodonga,Amaroo, and Maneroo, or Manaroo wonder where these names came from , they are in the area developed by the Corporation in the 1970 's. I was, as my mates? said, paid appearance money by the Wodonga Council at the time and we did the landscaping, etc in the area. Regards, Alan French

    3. Hi all I remember my grandfather talking about Middling Bank when he first moved into the Monaro District in the 1960's as being somewhere near Lake Eucumbene. So I support those who suggested the Eucumbene/Berridale area. Greg Palmer Wollngong, NSW. Hec Alcock wrote: > Hi List, > Can anyone assist with the above location.
