Hi all, Yes the Death adder is an extremly venomous Australian snake. There was a man killed in NSW within the last 6 months by one, sorry I can't narrow it down, but it was on the ABC news in Canberra. He thought that a dog was harrassing a blue tongue lizard and after calling off the dog he picked up the "lizard" to see if it had been injured. The snake bit him and he died soon after. However they are not found around Sebastopol. More likely a brown or a tiger in that area, given the date maybe all snakes were seen as death adders?
