    3. Hi Catherine, Unfortunately there is nothing about Henry LUDWICK. However there is a Plot in the Old Presbyterian Section No 21 referred to as LUDWICKS. This is in a book entitled Known Names and Numbers, but the above is the only information given. There is nothing at plot 21. YES PLEASE I would love a copy of the Death Certificate. None of the names you listed are on our records. Kel from Benalla

    3. Benalla 8th may 1937 The Sun Herbert Gordon Frazer 9 son of mr and Mrs A Frazer of McKellar St Benalla was riding his bicycle along the stock route to attend mass at St Joseph's Church shortly after 7 am today and when he was approaching the bridge the cycle struck the kerbing. The boy fell into the river with the bicycle. Mrs Fallon who lives nearby saw the accident and notified Mr jack Ackerley. He located the boys body in about 8 ft of water. Dr harrington was summoned and resusitation methods by him and First Constables Hurley and Roberts were carried out for two and a half hours after which he was pronounced extinct. It is thought the boy was stunned by the handle of the bicycle. Euroa 20th Nov 1939 The Argus Mr Charles Sibbald of Lorne Rd East Prahran and his wife suffered severe injuries this afternoon when the motor car in which they were travelling to Euroa crashed into a culvert on the Hume Highway 16 miles on the melbourne side of Euroa. Mrs Sibbald suffered a compound fracture of the skull, fracture of the right leg and right arm and is in a serious condition. Mr Sibbald left shoulder was dislocated. Husband and wife were admitted to the Euroa Bush Nursing Hospital which adjoins the home of Mr Sibblad's Uncle whom they were coming to visit. Thats all. I hope someone found something to add to this tree. Regards Judy

    1. [AVNE] Terry/Hunt certificates
    2. Elizabeth Roberts
    3. I like your certificates, they are so descriptive. Having helped with fencing as child, I can just picture the poor guy struggling to lift a large strainer post into position and dropping down dead with the effort. Wooden fence posts are supposed to go three feet (90 cms) in the ground so a post was a minimum of 7 foot (2.1 meters)long. A good strainer posts could be anything up to 2 ft [60cms] in diameter. You dug the holes, if you could, only just bigger than the post so the posts were stable. [Particually important for the strainer posts] You then had to get the post up upright so it would drop in the hole. John TERRY's death certificate > The cause of death is a bit of a mystery as well, it looks like it > reads Disease of the heart produced by exertion at a fence- Death > quiet sudden - No medical attendant at the death" . The marriage certificate is also so descriptive. You are so lucky to have a marriage cert that tells you so much about the person and what he thought about him self. > Then 5 months later his wife marries William Henry Frederick HUNT, in > the Profession column it says what looks like "Publican & Farmer in > England now A shepherd". 3. Hi Lynne, As the Sexton at Benalla Cemetery I am very interested in your Terry burial at Benalla. He is not on our records, but then I estimate about 1500 others who were buried pre 1900 are also missing. I am collecting information on those who "should be at Benalla" and would be grateful for a copy of his Death Certificate. If you are able to scan a copy and e-mail it to me it would be most appreciated. In conjunction with the Benalla Family History Group ( Bill Willett is corresponding with you) and the Benalla Secondary College VCAL students of 2006, the Cemetery has erected two gardens known as the "Gardens of Memories". People who have a relative known to be buried at Benalla, but whose plot is unknown may purchase a plaque and have it placed on the retaining wall of the Garden of Memories.
