Hi my name is Caroline Jackson and I am doing some research for a friend. We are looking for any information on John King born 1875, Parents names were Ellen and George married in 1874. I am lead to believe that most of the King family lived in Jamieson but may have links in Mansfield. Any help would be greatly appreciated. This is my first time to research family history I need all the help I can get. Thankyou all very much.

Do not send requests for copies of the Bios via the AVNE list, but please send them directly to Denise at "Denise McMahon" <helendmc@powerup.com.au> Cheers Peter Lakeman

I would like to order a hard copy of the bios Kathy
Hello Denise I would be happy to pay for collated Bios, and feel that printing enough to give a copy to local family history groups is a very cheap way to let people know research interests - I believe that those of us on the internet sometimes believe that everyone else is also (probably because some of the lists are so busy and productive). But we are possibly depriving ourselves of contacts (and therefore potentially valuable and free information) by limiting advertising or our interests to the internet. Hi all! I was just woudering if there has been any up date on the gathering in March. I am trying to get myself organised as my mother is comming with me she needs to know too. It is only about 6 weeks now ian't. Can any one help me. Cheers, Judy
Denise Working on my bios and should be able to send it to you in a couple of days. Hard to keep it down to 2 pages as you wish but after all it is only a taste of what we have. Would like a hard copy of the bios and willing to pay costs and postage. Probably will not be able to come on the circus unless I am still out of work. My husband John has that week off so there still may be hope - I am not sure if that is the right word when I am looking for work. Throwing in my two penny worth (not worth much nowdays!!!). I think there should be a hard copy of the bios for the following reasons 1. Hard copy is better for browsing, libraries etc. 2. Simplier to get the numbers add a few extra, work out the costs (paper, new printer cartridge, postage, binding -~$3 at Office Works, extra costs for freebies) and charge everyone that - prepaid if possible. 3. Quicker - With a printer working overtime probably could be done over a weekend. Denise you are doing a wonderful job with respect of the bios. Hi Dawn This particular article was written by Jean Carmody & published in the 28.7.1993 edition of 'The Corryong Courier'. The State Library of Vic has on microfilm editions from 24.1.1894 - 1945. The Man from Snowy River museum at Corryong has almost a complete holding (I think). There are a few good history books on the Upper Murray, some are listed on our support page, which SKS may do lookups for you. Hope this helps. Chris
Denise, I don't have that book, but if it is the musical group with Robert O'Hara Burke (I think in the back LHS?), then Burke Museum has the names of all. My notorious memory may be at fault though. I sent the folder with the bio's in it to a list person. She couldn't open. Any ideas why folk? Mine was done in word - please any experts can you help us sort this out. It just zapped off very smartly and no worries at the other end until it was tried to be opened. Denise
Denise, NOW, with Chris' help, I understand. And pantzip will just not help... OK, I'm more than happy to get a copy personally from you in March when I see you.
