This will probably seem a silly question to some, but can anyone tell me what or where is ' Indented Head'? I found it on an entry on the Australas BDM site and am a little confused about it's meaning. I thought at first it may mean a birth defect, but am not so sure now. Appreciate anyone who can clear it up for me.

Hi Peter, I have just learnt that this book is NOT a myth. It does exist. We had a man in the Wang f.h.s. room last week, also researching Crouchers and he knew of the book. He says there are three different Croucher families in the North East.He is not related to yours or mine. Try this phone number....... Laurel Croucher, Whitlands 03 57 297557. Regards,Bron. Looking for a family who lived in the SHEPPARTON area in the 1880's called MCNAMARA. Can anyone help please? Robyn Clarke N.S.W.
Sorry for the delay with this. P.L.C. has enrolment books from 1875 which often gave Father's name and address They also have School Magazines from 1876 which had photos. In the 1800's these were mostly literary journals but did contain some photos. The school has an archivist and enquiries can be by post or phone - 9808 5811 (forgot to ask About email) If you would like to visit the library to explore the Magazines you would need to ring for an appointment Anne

Hello AUS-VIC-NEsters, To put an end to this Off Topic subject, have a look at http://www.fingertipsoft.com/3dkbd/ansitable.html and bookmark it. These are part of the ANSI/ISO standards (e.g. ISO-8859-1) and will work in emails if both sender and receiver are set up correctly. However, they are not the same for all fonts in word processing documents, so check them out closely if using them there. Cheers Peter
Hi all - to cut the thread, which we have acknowledged as almost OT - Alt + 128 up to Alt + 168 is the range of characters associated with most communication styles - language accents, abbreviations (degrees). I put these into a Word doc and keep it by my computer - that is the shortcut for me which works best. Aha - you lose one, and you win one. This must be the James Orr who features now and then in Denise McMahon's diary. Now I know that he is not one of my Orrs - so in essence your reply has solved a puzzle, just not the one I was trying to put together - if you can follow (LOL). Ron, the Benalla Ensign is at the State Library for that time period. If it transpires that there are no local repositories, I don't mind looking something up for you. That is, as long as it's not urgent. (Just up and down a bit, healthwise). I am a frequent visitor of the SLV.
