    2. Carol Dale
    3. I am interested in contacting researchers for the Collier family who were resident in Beechworth, Victoria, Australia in 1870's. The initial family were Thomas Collier (from London) and Catherine Doyle (from Ireland). They had a number of children, including Bridget, Thomas, John (who married into my tree through Lillian Watson Wilberforce), Michael, James, Catherine, Edmund, Eliza, Ellen and Margaret. 3. To Bob, Anne and Nandina, Thank you for your replyies,It could be the Melbourne as when he joined up in 1915 his family live in Collingwood and while he was away his wife and Chilren moved to Winton near Benalla so I just asumed it was a Benalla paper it only said that a Mrs Anderson had sent the Leader along with a parcel. I have no Idea who Mrs. Anderson is either, but the diaries are very interesting reading. Thanks again, Cheers, Judy

    1. [AVNE] Sheep Stations
    2. Brujo
    3. Hello all Was wondering if someone could help me? One of my ancestors, Thomas Mitchell bought the stations 'INDI' 'KHANCOBAN' and ' BRINGEMBRONG ' in 1876. I am trying to find some information on these stations and/or on the people who now own them. In my records, it states that some of Thomas's descendants still either own or live on two of these stations. I would love to contact these people. There must still be some of his rellies about there. Kind regards Jo

    1. [AVNE] Congratulations
    2. Still Saturday Mar 16th in the USA - St. Paddy's Day already across the date line! As I browsed the Aus-Vic-Ne Mailing List Home Page (visitor # 1262) this morning, the thought struck me that Peter Lakemen and the volunteers have done a great job of collecting and referencing information on the home page. I went back into Rootsweb and browsed the Aus-Vic-Ne list which, if I am right, started 2 years ago today and almost 3,900 postings ago. Happy 2nd birth day to the list and Peter, congratulations on your efforts Pat Morgan Corte Madera, California
