    3. and named after Robert Battley himself, I believe he built the race track. It had several ads in the 1861 papers during July August. Just another one of those places that now has gone missing? It said 10 miles from Beechworth on the Melbourne Road. There was Woolshed township near Morse's Creek. It was during 1860/61 period too, that this started. Thankyou Ray.
