    3. Hi Denise, Came across this little snippet for you. The Commercial Hotel, Wangaratta, 3 stories high, built by William Clarke in 1855. Clarke died in 1871, the hotel was sold to William Murdoch, who died pre 1880, his wife then ran the hotel for several years, she built a Theatre on the side of the hotel and leased the stables at the rear to Connelly, Crawford and McCurdy. At this time coaches ran between Beechworth and Melbourne. Cheers Ray

    3. Hi Ray thank you. Any indication on the timeframe re it is saying C C and MC ? REason I ask there was another partner for a few years up to a time in the 80s and I can't locate a definite year. Maybe the OMA would tell me (g) but so far it hasn't. Connolly or one of them had been involved for many years, McCurdy only a few years and another likewise. McCurdy stayed on, the other left, and moved to Qld. Smart guy.
