Hi Denise, I have some old letters on loan. A couple are written from Riverslea, Tallandoon. There is one written in Sept 1922 by Janie Smith, to Alice Blewett, and she signs off with 'your cousin Janie Smith'. Sarah Jane Hays married a Smith, as did James Hays/Hayes Jan 3rd 1902 Hayes - Smith On the 30th December at Tallangatta by the Reverend W.H. Steele, James, eldst son of Archibald Hayes, Osbornes Flat to Josephine M. (Josie), fourth daughter of William Smith, Tallandoon. This wouldn't be the same William Smith who purchased some of C&C when it was being wound up, would it? Tallandoon and Yack aren't exactly close.
