Hi Listers My Patrick RATH came to Oz as a guard on a convict ship, 'Lady Nugent' in 1835. His first three children were born in UK, the fourth aboard ship, and the last four in NSW. The first died in Condoblin NSW, the next five in Beechworth, the seventh in the Ovens Dist Hospital, and my ancestor, Catherine (Kate) died in Orbost. The children were: Mary b 1828 Derby ENG d 1922 Condoblin NSW (Cornelius BYRUM) Thomas b 1830 Lancs ENG d 1886 Beechworth (Annie GILCHRIST) Anne b ca 1832 Dublin d 1867 Beechworth (Unknown) John b ca 1833 aboard ship d 1901 Beechworth (Bridget SWEENEY) Margaret b 1837 NSW d 1885 Beechworth (Unknown) Michael b 1838 Sydney d 1921 Beechworth (Catherine Unknown) Patrick (jnr) b ca1843 d 1913 Ovens Hospital (Unknown) Catherine b 1845 Sydney d 1930 Orbost (Thomas John McHENRY) Names in brackets are spouses. I am almost certain Patrick Sen had a brother John, in Forbes NSW as there was much to-ing and fro-ing between both families.
