Hi I unexpectedly was able to pay a visit to the Buckland area, near Bright (where some ancestors were briefly in the gold rush) and am hoping listers can help me with some geography. I went up the valley past the cemetery, through "Twelve Mile" as far as the Junction. * Was the town of Buckland where the cemetery is today? * In relation to the cemetery, where would "Lower Flat, Buckland" have been (ie down by the creek or downstream or....)? * I have a reference to a burial at "Joss House Hill" - can anyone describe where this is/was in relation to the cemetery or other features in the valley?
