Letter from Sarah Jane Smith (nee Hays) to her cousin Alice Blewett (nee Waterson) Alice's daughter Jean Blewett died on 1st September 1922, two days before her 14th birthday. "Riverslea" Tallandoon Sept 11th 1922 My Dear Alice I need not say how very very sorry we were to hear that your dear little girl had passed away. Will you all please accept our deepest sympathy in your very great sorrow. Oh how you must all miss her. We wonder why these things are dear Alice but we cannot understand its beyond us and we must submit to "him: who knows what is best for us all and try to bear up.
